Bianchi bike year?
Hi forum members.
I need some help identifying the year of this Bianchi bike.
I bought used in 1993. I think it is a campone d'italiana.
The decal is worn from mounting the bike. The frame says it is a
Formula Columbus and made in Italy.
The components are Suntour 7000 derailer , Suntour handle bar shifters,
Ambrosia 19 elite rims and Strong lite pedals.
I think it is from the mid to late 80’s
# on crank housing are 8m, 9449
Thanks Steve

Sorry I don't have any specific date. I'm guessing probably mid 80's. "Command Shifters" are a nice touch.
You might try a MKS pedal dust cap. They are very cheap, and should work. After cleaning and lubing the pedal, of course.
Let us know if you upload more photos to the album, and we can find them.

Crash Test Dummy
Serial number indicates frame made in 1988. Nice to a bike so well preserved!

The subject bicycle is a 1988 Binchi Campione d'Italia. Original MSRP was $550 US. The pedals should be Ofmega Gran Premio. Stronglight is the brand of the crankset.

Very nice looking for an '88, still has most of the CdI decal left. It looks like the brakes are updated to Modolo Quattro and I love the idea of the Command shifters.
Now I need to find a nice Sprint RD and some..................
