Found in the barn

I found an old 20 inch bike that looks like a Schwinn Orange Crate, but the label on it is just a big K and it says made in Germany. It has a banana seat, three speed rear hub, a stick shift and a pseudo springer front fork. Any idea of make and value?

I'd start your search with Kettler and Kalkhoff.

cb400bill is correct, it indeed is a Kalkhoff, from the 70s probably.
Looking for "Kalkhoff bonanzarad" images will bring you to the world of those rides. Most of them were square shaped, without those Schwinn-like tubes though.
Not sure how to determine model and year.
Also, meant to say the (presumably) Sachs shifter is super cool, hope it can be brought back to life.
