1994 GT Slammer Dyno

gt bike (2).jpg

gt bike (4).jpg

gt bike (8).jpgWell i think i remember it being a 1994. Looking for honest advice and fair appraisal my old GT.. Still rides as good as the day i bought it. everything original accept the seat and maybe the seat post. what you see in the pictures arent the original rims , but i have them in good shape. I even have the GT tires in good shape no dry rot.. decals are gone ...some chrome chipped off the fork. But still a very solid ride able bike. Ive seen this bike in very clean condition listed for $1200. .Ive attached some photos. what you guys think? I should be able to get $350 right? Heck ive seen the seat post clamp on ebay for $65 The goose neck for $110
thanks for your opinion

if you cant see the pics look in my albums i think

Don't look at listed prices, look for completed items that have SOLD.

I am confused. Maybe I am just not up to date on my BNX and Freestyle lingo but isn't the GT Dyno a BMX bike? The bike pictured is a free style bike so what gives?

Without any other data to increase the confidence level, my interpretation of the serial number format would be mmyyxxxx, which would make it August 1995 and in the grey area were it could be either a 1995 or 1996 model.

To be absolutely honest, I don't think this is the best place to get an appraisal of this one. There's a couple of BMX related boards; it is a very different market from what most of us are used to (old road bikes). There's some overlap, but not much-- I'm an idiot when it comes to BMX. At least Bianchigirll can tell the diff between BMX and Freestyle, which easily eclipses my knowledge.

Now that I think about were GT and Dyno two brands like Univega and Sterling or Trek and Jazz?
The simplest way to tell the difference is the style of frame and a 'spinner' device of some sort. The Bike above has those twin seat stays that start ahead of the seat tube creating a platform to easily put you foot on and has a Gyro to allow the handle bars to spin without tangling the rear brake cable.

On the other hand, a BMX bike like this Dyno has no platform or Gyro
