Trying to determine what the model/tubing this Merckx is. It has been repainted so don't know if it originally had any chrome or not. Doesn't appear to match anything from the cadre database. Super record 7 speed with pantographed components. Looks interesting and I only have n bikes so wondering if I need it. Thanks.

A repaint makes everything suspect but the the non-Portacatena dropouts should place it into the mid-1980s. Assuming proper replacement decals, it's Columbus SL.

Early 80's Professional is my wild guess. Are you sure it's been repainted?

Thanks. The chainstay has the logo for a guy in San Diego (JB) who I believe has been restoring frames for decades and does exceptional work.

No wonder the fills are so nice. This is a case that the repaint doesn't hurt that much.
