Gary Fisher Advance

Hi Forum

Just picked up this GF Advance from my local thrift store for $63. Looks like it has all the original components, even the Gary Fisher Tires, and all are in good shape.

I think its a 1989 but hope you can tell me more info. Hopefully I bought it cheaper than its worth, but looking to get some good miles out of this vintage ride.

I wish I could find a real Fisher like that for $63. '89 sounds right because of the Mountain LX and 1" headset. IIRC Mountain LX became Deore LX in '90 and Fisher also started using the 40mm HS in '90

In my market, as it sits ~$100. Tuned up and ride able, between $120-$180. If it was a higher end / more desirable model, it would be worth more.

These old rigid mountain bikes make great riders and I personally prefer them over hybrids.
