Miyata 710

Looks like a nice bike. Asking "what's it worth" depends a lot on your market. But what's your guess on what this bike need to be road ready? I'm thinking tires, saddle, bar wraps, cables and lubrication. Probably $75-$85 at a minimum. Any obvious deal killers?

Unless you have the right shoes, it'll need new pedals too. I'd also plan on brake pads, just to be sure.

Not to me, that's a sweet looking bike under all that grime. Cyclone was usually second from the top of Suntour's stuff most years. 710 is a mid to higher end model.

I would buy it in an instant if you find the price right. Although a bike of this age could likely use a total tear down, cleaning , and greasing, as well as changing out aged rubber (brake pads and tires) it looks to be in great condition without the normal garage storage rashes. This is assuming you do the work yourself as to pay a bike shop to do all that could blow the budget.

It's got all the original reflectors on it and, looks like a complete bike. Frame will polish up super nice with a full disassemby and rebuild. It's a medium to small size frame. But, should fit average size riders. Probably doesn't have much mileage on it. I think it's worth around $125 as is. $250 to $300 refurbished with all new parts.

I do all that no matter the condition.

Overhaul it and add new paselas. $400 in a big market. Easy.

And we just sprung forward, too.

I doubt I will buy this. Too many irons in the fire right now. But it is on ebay. Feel free to take a look and bid on it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Miyata-SevenTen-Road-Bike-Garage-sitter-looks-nice/264195427000?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Why is there such a huge gap between the front tire and the down tube? Looks like a touring bike. Not aggressive road bike geometry at all, looks very "sport bike" ish.
