Mid 80's Bridgestone 500

I have a bright red Bridgestone 500 in my basement that is in good shape. I have not been on it in 20 years. It has what was (then) top of the line shimano components as the guy I bought it from was a very successful racer. Is this bike worth anything or is it scrap? I cannot get much info about it on the net.
Thanks,

Your Bridgestone 500 is a good bike but it was far from their top of the line. A quick check of the 1986 catalog places it about in the middle of their lineup.

It really depends on what kind of frame it has & condition of the wheels. Since it's about an average entry level Japanese bike there won't be much collector demand. But, these old Japanese bikes make great daily riders & grocery getters. Condition & location is everything. Poor condition $25 to $30. Fine condition up to $200. Add more $ if you're in a hot market for used bikes.
