BREW brakes - value?
Any idea what these BREW version one brakes might be worth?
They are circa 1994 (or thereabouts), and were on a Litespeed UltimateI purchased from a local bike shop owner/racer in 1996. They stop as well as any premium single pivot brake and they are a lot lighter than dual pivots.
Front and rear calipers w/o pads weigh 167g, with DA pads 259g. Basically these are modified BRS 200’s that have been lightened by machining and replacing the steel bolt with Ti.
I haven’t found any for sale, sold, or otherwise so any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks.

Price them like Campagnolo, hope for the best.
Unless someone has a 'special need' for them, $30. Tops.

hazetguy - My apologies. I replied to your inquiry the other day but it doesn't look like it went through. I will post brakes in the "for sale" section. Thanks

Pretty similiar to Dia Compe single pivots. Dia Compe/Cane Creek, and BREW are pretty proximate both being in NC, and not far from Litespeed. My guess is they are branded BREW, or even modified by Steve Garn at BREW to be BREW brakes. He was all about high performance road/tri/track bikes in the 90's. Would indeed be cool on a BREW bike.

AngryFrankie - Thanks for what sounds like inside information. So, these brakes were on my Lynskey made Litespeed. The NC connection never occurred to me before!
