Trek 7000 USA and Trek Navigator 200 aluminum frame

A local "collector" has those 2 amongst 100 other rusted out and nearly worthless bicycles.
I was going to buy all of em for the street value of those 2 neither of which is in driveable condition, in fact tires, tubes, chains, cables seat grips and nearly every other perishable part on these 2 is pretty much toast.
Hope bearings can get by with lube, and overall it will clean out nice.

I obviously don't have pics, it was a drive by that I noticed them on, spoke to the wife - who really wants her driveway back.
I cant imagine the city has been ignoring them either.

Oh yea, the fool thinks they're golden. $150 for the 7000 when there is a runner on craigslist sold by a bike mechanic and its gone through and lubed, cleaned and has all good rubber, grips etc for $100, and its been on there a few weeks.
I politely told him they're all scrap metal.
Cool.

So... are you asking the value or just telling us about your find?

srinath.the.man 05-27-19 07:36 AM

I was asking about value originally, but I found a 7000 runner for 100 locally on craigslist, and he wants 150 with nearly all perishables having "perished". So I'm not in possession of a "find" and its value is far under asking $. So at this point, I'm just wasting pixels.
Thanks.
Srinath.
