1985? Pinarello Montello
Hi all,
I have more bikes than I ride and am considering thinning out the heard. I'm not a C&V expert so was hoping to get some help with pricing of this bike. I believe it's a 1985 Pinarello Montello SLX. I bought it from the original owner. He said he raced it back in the 80's - Toronto, I think. I was thinking of cleaning it up and asking $500 for it without the saddle. Am I off the mark? It's well used and a mashup or different components so maybe that is high. Here is a link to more pictures: https://photos.app.goo.gl/6prHuyexhLHG6hZc9

Me personally i would either sell it as frame/ fork/ headset only and part out the components.
OR
Convert it back to drop bar to attract a few more potential buyers for the whole bike.
I'd be interested in the frame for sure. I need a pinarello in my life.

I think $500 is fairly priced. Most of the parts look to be in good shape and are nice. The Pinarello shifters will be like catnip to some folks. You could sell frame fork for $350-400 and a few clear a couple hundred or more on the remainder of the parts. I’d be interested in the rear derailleur if you part out.
