1985 Trek 410

Hello

I recently returned to bicycling after a 20 plus year hiatus (riding H-D's). I purchased a REI CTY 2.1
I also have and want to sell a perfectly beautiful Trek. Looking at Ebay, it appears to be worth about $300-$400?
Is this a realistic price or am I kidding myself?

After having my old Trek on Ebay for 6 weeks, I have decided that I am donating it to a non-profit bike shop that will give it to some kid rather than either wait for the right buyer or part it out. I'm sad to see it go, but time moves on.

Nice sentiment, but I doubt it:
1) Kids these days don't want vintage road bikes.
2) Most co-ops sell these sort of bikes to keep the lights on and rent paid, which enables them to keep giving
hybrids, mountain bikes, and bmx to kids.

While they will appreciate your donation, it will likely become "fundraising" fodder.

I ended up taking it to the local Trek dealership, which used to be eons ago, a Schwinn shop where I bought my wife's bike from. Because of the condition of the bike and it's age, they are going to put it on display in their showroom. So, it's a win-win I guess. I don't have it hanging around the garage and people will get a chance to enjoy.
