Campagnolo Melbourne 56 aluminum rims, 32 hole

I believe these rims are on a 1990's Bianchi Eros I am considering buying. I believe they are the stick wheels. I spun both wheels and they are true.

Does anyone have any knowledge on these wheels? Good, bad or indifferent?

Don't know about Campy Melbourne rimmed wheels, but just having the Campagnolo brand on them really helps with value, especially if they are laced to Campy hubs too. It's just that there are a lot of C&Vers out there that are looking for that full Campy build on their (Mostly Italian) bikes. And what would you thise builds, a full Campy wheelset, of couse......BUT,........Condition, Condition, Condition! Brand new/NOS, they could be easily worth upwards of 200 bucks, but even the slightest hint of anodizing wear (especially the dark ones) on the sidewalls will make their value plummet.
As for quality, they should be very good and robust. From most of the Campy rims I've encountered Campy did not seem to have gone the weight weenie route with their rims in the 80's and 90's (except maybe tor their pro teams issued rims) like other brands previous. They will most be a bit heavier than equivalent Mavic or Fiamme rimmed wheels, but they should be "bomb proof".

If they are being specced OEM how bad can they be? I think my red Proto had Melbournes on it when I got it and they rode OK.
