Eddy Merckx bicycle worth?

Good day,

in the garage of my grandpa i found an Eddy Merckx Bycicle he says from 1979-1980 round about. On the frame stands: "Reynolds 653".
The colours are panasonic, so i read in the web. And all parts original, except the brakes. They have been renewered.

I would be very thankful if you could help me, which value this bycicle has.

I will post pictures in this thread, hope you can help me ID.

Please post serial number and some good drive side photos, also showing hubs, rims, etc.

On the bottom of the bottom bracket-the big tube that the crank axle goes through.

He's off by 12 or 13 years --- the bike is early to mid 90's if those are original parts ---- Beautiful machine though ! The size is appropriate for someone perhaps from 5'6 to 5'9 and appears to be a 53c (just my size )

Century 653 - this was only produced in the years 1988-1990. Factory markings are welcome

What a beautiful Eddy, great find! The brakes could be updated but otherwise this is a total gem.

The search instruction for factory markings on Eddy Merckx and their deep meaning:
1) your bike is on wheels
2) you turn it "wheels up"
3) you find the chain
4) you find a large sprocket on which the chain is attached
5) you find the frame element closest to the centre of this sprocket - this is the thick 7 cm long tube to which as many as 4 other long frame tubes are attached
6) to your undisguised joy, on this thick pipe you discover various numbers and letters - these are factory markings
7) you show them to the rest of the world - preferably in the form of clear photographs
8) you receive feedback in the form of carefully concealed envy and jealousy but polite comments
9)...unless it's not Merckx from Meise - then it could be even worse...

Great looking Merckx 👌

However Reynolds 653 decals isn't an guarantee it's in fact Reynolds 653, I have a Corsa painted by Merckx labeled as Corsa Extra. A decal is easy to switch.

More info can be found on the BB

With the exception of the pedals and possibly the crankset, the visible components appear to be mostly era correct 4th generation Dura-Ace with an STI upgrade. A drive side or drive train would aid in confirmation. Condition appears excellent. There's very little wear on those rims.
