1988(?) Nishiki Sport
I have had this since probably 1989 or so. I purchased it from a roommate who was moving back home. Mostly sat in my shed for last 15 years. It has been sitting outside for the past few years though. Other bikes have replaced it. I have a notion to clean it up and make a cheap road bike out of it. Amy one have an opinion of it would make a bike worth riding. Steel frame if ain't to rusty.

It is a 89 last year they used the long lugs . As for value really rough shape a lot of rust will need to be fully taken apart rust treated and have all cable housing, brake pads, bearings, tires and some parts replaced to be a rider so only $75 or so in the current market.

Personally I would not invest any time or money into this one. Really low end, needs quite a bit of love. I run out of time before I run out of good projects so it could be different for you.

Good thing is it is a all JIS standard bike so you could buy all the parts fairly cheap online no issues. Yet I would tend to agree with wrk101 that this bike is not a good investment of your time and money you can find a lot better projects in nearly any market for $100-200.
