I like the Continental town and country tire. You can get it in 1.9 or 2.1.

Can you fit wider than 2.0"?

Nothing period correct there I suppose. Gumwall knobby might look good with the blue frame.

I've been looking for some "better" quality 26 x 2.0 tires for a '92 stumpjumper I plan on building up.

They're not cheap at around $40 apiece but I like the panaracer ribmo 26 x 2.0 tires. The weight isn't bad at 560 grams per tire, I like the quality of panaracer tires, and they use good anti-puncture technology.

While theres clearance to go a bit bigger 2.25. I really need to stick with 2.0 or 1.95 wire bead tires on the current wheels Araya dimpled 1.50 rims wth a lip not hooked.

For the 92 Stumbjumber Specialized still has the basically OEM correct Ground control tires listed for $30 on there website. I'm considering going with these or maybe the Hardrock-Rs for my bike.

The Ground Control tires are 2.1. What types of terrain do you plan to ride with this bike? You are looking at some aggressive tires which will feel slow on pavement. Why are you insisting on a vintage looking tire?
