Vintage Specialized Allez
I recently picked up a vintage Specialized Allez which appears to be about a 91 year model that has down tube shifters. Not sure what is might be worth and if it would make sense to switch it to a newer groupset with a integrated Brake/Shifter style. Not sure what would be the easiest route that would require the least amount of parts change. Currently has a 2x8 Shimano Rx100 groupset

Least complicated change mechanically, would be to keep it 8 speed. All you would have to buy is a set of Shimano STI brake/shift levers. Any Shimano STI 2 x 8 set would work, other than Dura-Ace. Once you step up to 2x9 or 2x10 speed, you're looking at additional new components, rapidly escalating the cost.
