Raliegh MT-200 MTB early 90's.

Wondering what this one is realistically worth in the current market and year built. Raliegh America MT-200 MTB found I found in a dumbster and fixed up just seemed too nice to let go to waste. Most components have no wear and are original fully serviced tuned ready to ride with good tires. Seattle built 17 inch frame set with 4130 rear triangle and fork bounded to OS aluminium main tubes, mix of STX and Alivio 7 speed components with Sun rims. Trying to figure if I should l donate, sell it or keep as a parts bike. I would keep and ride it but just bit too small to make work I can ride it nicely with the seat at max height but it just doesn't seem right.

Does fully service mean new grease for all the bearings and new cables? If so, in my market with the quarantine demand, I'd expect around $160.

If the bearings are not serviced, but everything works, $120.

I'd list the prices a little higher to test the market since I'm not familiar with the current demand. I ran out of bikes to sell at the beginning of quarantine.

As for the wheels I rebuilt both with new bearings grease and replaced some internals cones and dust covers on the front adjusted freed all the spokes replacing a couple of spokes and nipples and fully trued both wheels not great true but very good for a vintage MTB and the huba are really smooth no play.

You might consider putting street tires on it. Those rigid mtb’s make great ride around town bikes and are more likely to get used for that than off-road, so you might get more interest if it’s already set up that way.
For price I’d start at $150-175 and be willing to take less.

While bit ugly the Alpha-bite Kenda/Maxis tires found with the bike are basically new very good 60 TPI tires no or wear or noticeable aging and they ride really nice on both tarmac and dirt. So I couldn't see buying another set of tires for this bike I do agree street tires would help appeal in some markets if I had another nice set of tires handy I would probably swap them out. If I were to spend some money on this bike either to keep or sell it would be on nice 1 size smaller 400mm black alloy seat post the stock one is a bit tight and allloy's the same size just don't go. Surprisingly it has all fairly nice basically mid level alloy or chr-mo component's including BB and head set yet they went cheap and put a stock Huffy chrome high ten steel seat post peiced clamp on this bike.
