1984 Miyata Terra Runner
I'm going to look at this one tonight: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details...dId=1513290464
They are asking $200 Canadian, which is about $150USD, so price seems reasonable especially considering the current bike boom. No drive side pic unfortunately. Located in Ottawa, Canada.
Would this be a good candidate for a touring rig on paved and gravel roads? I don't see any front braze-ons, but other than that it looks like a solid frame. I'm basically looking for a used or lower cost alternative to the Surly LHT. I very rarely see used touring bikes within 100 miles of me.
If this isn't a good candidate for a touring rig, I still want to use this for commuting, grocery getting and joy rides. This would replace my low-end GT Vantura hybrid that I keep getting broken spokes on because I'm a 215lb clyde. I'm assuming the MTB wheels on this are pretty bulletproof?
I have never owned a vintage bike, but I have a decent amount of experience working on 21st century bikes. Any advice would be appreciated.

Found the model in the catalogue. It seems to be a 1984 with Suntour components.

Update: I ended up buying it for $180 Canadian ($133 USD). See my new thread here: 1984 Miyata Terra Runner - Should I use it for touring, or commuting?
