Raleigh USA mountain bike for sale.

Hello again

Perusing the local sites I came across this.

Do you know of this bike?

I asked the vendor some questions but they cannot help with model/components ID.

Any info gladly received, thank you.

Note the straight fork.

Not 100% sure, but looks like Raleigh Technium Heat, 1991, Shimano 500LX was originally there and seems at least brakes, levers (the push push ones, so might need cleaning before working properly), cranks and such are still there.
Heat was 4/5 in that year's lineup so pretty low in the hierarchy.
The paint should be really bright, unfortunately it's gone.

Thanks for that, indeed it appears to be the Heat. I see that they have chemically bonded ally and steel frames. Interesting.

I will wait until the vendor replies, hopefully with more and better pics, and then see if I need yet another early 90s mtb for 40-50 euros.

saludos

Interesting how a "USA" Raleigh made its way to Spain.

Yeah its quite cosmopolitan this area, as it is an important yachting centre.
There is plenty of personal traffic between Caribbean and Mediterranean, so interesting things often pop up.

These are surprisingly great riders and really well built can't tell what level this one is from pic look to be mid level from 91 they made 6 levels MT 200-700. Model tubing are well marked on the seat and main tubes if you get better pics. I have lower end MT-200 and it is one of the best riding bikes I have owned.

Thanks, I am really stuck as to whether it should come home or not, as my collection has mushroomed in recent months. Every time something interesting pops up for little dough I have jumped on it.
As I am in the middle of a Diamond Back refurb, plus tweaking some other vintage bikes right now I might have to give it a miss and concentrate on finding a few quality component sets.
Shame, because another one will not likely appear.
