Miyata Valley Runner
I can pick this bike up locally cheap. It needs cables and consumables
but the frame looks in great shape. What would a fair price be on this bike?

As is, $75 seems about right, $150 to $200 after a complete overhaul. Maybe more if your area is still experiencing the covid boom.

I would agree about 75 as is and 200 or so nicely fixed up. Really nice basic MTB made iin Japan with a good quality frame set. I really don't like the riser bars or seat that have been added.

Fixed up I would say $125 at the very high end. I can't imagine anyone paying $200 for that bike. I've bought and sold much nicer bikes for less.

I ended up getting it for $60. The frame is very nice and the seat is original
but needs reglued. It needs all new cables and bearings refurbished but I think for $60
it was a good deal

The bike looks a lot better in this pic. What dimpled rims does it have this can make some difference in price as some can be worth more than the bike there on? Didn't notice that this bike has a lot of nice parts in the first pic.

Actually the big difference is are they 1.5 or 1.75 in width width which will be marked on the rims along with model. The 1.75's being the valuable ones some going for over $200 a pair, yet the nicer Araya dimpled 1.50 still ad a bit of value to the bike say $50 or so if there fairly nice and true.
