How much would you pay for this RB-1?
It's available on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/AMAZING-Unu...torefresh=true
Seller is asking $900 which seems clearly too high.
It is roughly my size. To me, all the value is in the frame, I'd put modern components on it. My inclination is that the fair value is something like $450, which I arrive at by thinking, high-end mass-market early 90s bike in good condition is worth $200-$300 plus an "RB-1 tax". However maybe I'm underestimating the RB-1 tax and/or the value of it being totally stock. What do folks here think?

Way to high but you already know that. Frame condition is fair to good. A lot of scuffs and scrapes on it. I like the idea of giving it the resto-mod treatment with modern components. Since you're going to replace most of the parts, here's how I would arrive at the price I'd be willing to pay:
-Put a value on what you'd pay for a comparable frameset. In this case, I'm at $200 on the doorstep. High but allows for RB-1 tax, plus it's expensive to ship.
-Add net proceeds (after shipping/fees) from selling groupset and wheelset. I'd ballpark $100 a piece for each.
-That puts me at $400 for the bike. Still feels high to me but it's how my twisted logic would justify it if I wanted an RB-1 that bad!

Yeah.................................. nice bike. Flat, dry rotted tires. Scratched up paint job. Rotted hoods & handlebar tape. Nasty seat. "Unused" is definitely an incorrect description of the bikes condition. Well.........................................., it's a great frame. Good parts. I'd probably go about as high as $300 ("as is") for something like that. Tell the owner to slap some new tires, handlebar tape, chain, & hoods on it ....................................................... Then, maybe it might be worth about $600. Be good. Have fun.

I had this all original one sitting on FB Marketplace for a long time at $525 with no interest. It is in immaculate condition (except some decals).

The budget i set for buying bikes of this age. $100 and some change, unless it comes with a warranty and a years worth of tune- ups. They don't turn up often but occasionally I catch one.
The $100 bike...
Maybe less considering its advertised unused, but it clearly has wear and tear.

Re the eBay bike, I don't know how you know what size it is in cm - which is how Bstones are sized. Hard to get a good grip of the frame condition ("fair" at best) without seeing the chainstays and bottom bracket area. Not saying it's rusted or scratched up, but I've seen some horrendous bb shells on otherwise pretty nice looking RB-1 framesets.
Re the 62cm RB-1, that's a 1992, I have the same one in yellow/white, same size. Well not to hijack the thread to your bike...which is what I am inclined to do, haha.
