1980s Raleigh Condor ?
Not up to much with the bikes any more because of The Covid thing.
My wife dragged another pretty Raleigh clunker home today.
It is not a model I am familiar with but it was stored indoors, was much too big for the fellow who owned it, and was very clean except for a few spiders' webs. In fact, it looks new.
The frame has forged dropouts and is marked TANGE Double-butted 2001 Mangaloy.
Acquired from the original owner.
He got it as a gift many years ago and didn’t like it: Too concerned about rapping his testicles on the top tube.
Appears to have been ridden only a couple of times.
Shimano 105 Golden Arrow crankset.
Shimano 105 Golden Arrow derailleurs and downtube gear levers.
Shimano 105 Golden Arrow brake callipers and brake levers.
Araya 27” wheel set with the original IRC Roadlite tires..
Sakae bars, pedals, stem, and post.
The handlebars have “RALEIGH” engraved on them.
Should this Raleigh be sold as is, or parted out ??

That thing's brand new. I have not idea about the price, but if I was to come across that bike I'd probably give you $250 if you asked. It might not be worth that to everyone. But for that kind of condition I'd be all over tht.

I suspect that I could might have to strip all of the pretty 105 stuff off the Condor and replace it with a nice Sugino crankset and Shimano Tourney parts (of which I have plenty) to flip it ... and put the 105 Golden Arrow stuff on eBay either individually or as a group.
Around here nobody would appreciate the 105 group and the bike will likely sell just as well without it.

I think this Raleigh is more valuable as a complete bicycle, rather than parted out, given its pristine condition. Clean off the cobwebs and dust, give the bike a quick polish and take plenty of photos. To the right person, I could see this selling for $500 CAD.

I wouldn't part it out. Someone would love to get this bike in this condition. If you had sold it last spring in my area you might have gotten between $400-$500, maybe more.

That is pretty decent coin return on a $30 investment for a flipper like me. ($30 Canadian = $22.75 US)
The forecast is looking like snow within the next few weeks and the bike season is wnding down so maybe I'll just leave it for now and flog it in the Spring.
But seriously, most bikers around here would not know Shimano 105 from their elbow, and when I do sell it, I will get offers from people who just want to turn it into a one-speed bike anyway!
Stay safe and don't forget to VOTE.
