1981 Peugeot U010

Just picked up a Peugeot U010 on a flyer today for $40. The front derailleur is trashed and will be replaced with a Huret more than likely, otherwise everything else is original components in good condition (rear shifts well actually which was surprising). Frame and paint in really good shape as well. What's the cleaned up value on this one?

Where I live, $100 to $150, depending on condition, size, location, sometimes time of year and your marketing skills. That is a ball park guess. To get a more accurate appraisal, more information coupled with pictures is needed.

I'd value a fixed up UO 10 a little higher. Peugeot finally got their act together with the UO 10. The bike has decent alloy wheels with rigida rims, a good cotterless crank, decent derailleurs, and brakes. All in all a pretty good bike. I have a soft spot for these as I did my first tour on one. I'd value it at $150-$200 fixed up assuming the condition is good.

Apologies for that. The original post was from before I could post images. All parts are origibal minus the front deraileur which I've replaced with a Huret as the original Simplex was broken. Paint is in great shape though.

In my area that would be $250-$275 easily. However, right now the market is slow and will probably stay that way until spring. By then, who knows? The swings have been crazy.
