Kuwahara Super Four Vintage Bike Appraisal

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I have recently received two vintage bikes one is a Kuwahara Super Four and the other is a Fiori Suntour (I think) circa 1985. I was wondering if anyone know who I can contact regarding appraisals? Sadly, because I am new to this forum, I cannot post pictures...but trust me both are in great condition.

You have several ways to get to where you can add photos.

Method 1: As a new member you can only post 5 x per day until you have 10 posts. Then add all you want. So, go to the introduction section and welcome others to BF. Check out some bikes and a comment. Four today, 5 tomorrow and your golden

Method 2: Go to the albums section on herr. Add photos, then return here and add a post saying where photos are. Someone will move your photos to here.

Method 3: Post photos somewhere else. Return here and add a link (you'll have to alter the link slightly to get on.) This method gets used but I'm not able to explain it well so glance at several other posts on the appraisal forum and you'll see what I mean

BSANE's Vintage Bikes

Thank you. I opened an album title as written above. I was only allowed to post one photo ))) and I couldn't link the URL, but hopefully you can find the album.

pic assist

The rules about new member limitations are a pain for some newbies, but a huge benefit to regular users = we LOVE the entry regs.

About the pic.
Well hard to say as we cannot see the driveside components, the handlebars, saddle, size, or even rear rack.
Has the kickstand mount caused the chainstays to become dented?
Possible rust on those top tube cable guides? They look dark.

Hard to judge paint or much of anything from low resolution.

Not worth anything if stem or seatpost are stuck in place.
Tires hold air?
Clean chain and gears?

More questions than answers.

edit: closest pic i quickly found online is a Kuwahara Super Tour

Does this look like it?

Kuwahara best known for bmx bikes.

Not too sure of the year, but it says Kuwahara Super Four on the other side in original paint. Nope, the seat is not stuck in place, I actually loosened it to lower it. No dents in chainstay. No visible rust, maybe just light. Rear rack is also good.

That's all good.
What are the component names?
Getting closer to 10.

Check that both wheels spin true, not wobbly. Not even a little. Check for stickers about the tubing.

Tough to say.
But I will give it a guess.
Assuming it works reasonably well (brakes and shifts) -
If you can find a buyer, in a big city you might get $75.
less in a small town.
Non descript Japanese road bike from a builder known for BMX.

Clean it up. Lube the hubs, BB, headset. Post better pics. Maybe worth a bit more Maybe it is a nice rider. Let us know.

The tubeset helps determine value. Tange #1 or Ishiwata 019 would make it special. if the Shimano also says DuraAce, 600 that is worth a few bucks.

Kuwahara made some incredible kick ass bikes BITD. The problem is that nobody has ever heard of them. They made the Apollo line of bikes sold in Canada. And, they made bikes under contract for Schwinn, Bianchi, Raleigh and, other manufacturers. They're probably the oldest bike company in Japan. I think they're still in business. I've got one of their bikes hanging up in the attic. It's a damn fine bike. I've tried to sell it several times but, nobody responds to my advertisements. Just crickets. Oh well. Be good. Have fun.
