Norco Monterey value

Hey --

Wondering if this is a terrible deal or not for this bike? The current state of bike supply/demand in Toronto (and I guess everywhere) has made it hard to judge what's good value and what is not.

I haven't been able to go see the bike yet so working just on information in the ad, which reads as follows:

"Norco Monterrey Road Bike double butted tubes . Frame made for 58-60" large size ,12 speeds, comes with brand new tires, cables, wires, freshly handlebar and all tuned up ready to ride! Asking for $445 OBO." <--- Assuming this price can go down a bit any suggestions for what a reasonable offer would be?

Sorry for the quality and lack of photos -- again just going by what I can see so far from the ad.

Thanks for any insights!

That's a really bad price for what looks like a low-end* road bike. I wouldn't try bargaining with a seller that has set their price so high (~$362 USD), I'd just wait for a better deal on a different bike.

At best I would think $200 CAD is a fair price.

Despite being a very late 1980s, entry level model, that bicycle would have been sold in minutes, had it been listed for $200 CDN in the GTA.
