Cool bike and in nice shape. Guessing it would fetch about the same as an Ironman. Just a guess.

Iíll put it at $300 +/- $25 as a local sale. Maybe this will prompt more opinions.

Well, it needs new bar tape, cables and tires. If un-serviced (as is), then condition of the bearings is unknown. So, if I were the buyer, I'd offer $175 as a fair price.

If I were the seller, then I'd have done all of the above, would disassemble down to the frame, buff out the paint and touch up, and then re-assemble with new consumables, re-greased bearings and ultrasonically cleaned derailleurs and calipers. $400 in the DC market, and it would sell quickly.

Sweet Superbe Pro dropouts and chromed stay(s). Reminds me a little of my '86 Miyata Pro. Is that Tange Champion #1 or #2?

Cool bike, valuations above are realistic. If this showed up in my neighborhood I'd be sorely tempted.

I have 2 of them. An iris 83 and a black 84. I don't know what they're worth, but they have a nice ride.

I'm keeping it. I had to find a longer seatpost and some new tires.

Seypat - what tires are you running on yours?

Conti GP Classic. Fork is not original, obviously. My guess is: Previous owner wanted/needed the headset changed. The shop didn't have one with the right crown race size, so they swapped in the Tange Prestige fork. The paint on the fork crown matches the frame paint though, so maybe some other reason. When I acquired the bike, it was set up as a weekend racer. It had Simplex Retrofriction shifters, a Superbe RD and a Campy wheelset. Also had/has Cinelli stem/bars. I put my customary triple and barcons on it.

The black one is a frame/fork only given to me by another BF member. It is being built up as the bike I might be riding the HotterNHell 100 on in August. Since the HNH travels through the wastelands of north Texas, the bike will be sporting a Mad Max look. Max's vehicle was one of the last V8 Inceptors. 1984 was the last year for the Turbo.

I forgot to mention that 25s are about the widest tire you can run, at least on my two.

Make me an offer! Its in Albuquerque if you want it. The more I ride it the smaller it feels. May need the next size up. I found some NOS tires and seatpost. Looking good. I'll do the bar tape next.

"My neighborhood," as regards bicycle purchases/pickups, is somewhat smaller than "the whole of the american southwest."

Be patient. That's a cool and uncommon bike that someone's gonna want. Just a matter of the right person seeing the ad.

That bike is very pretty ! Im surprised at the prices folks here are suggesting given its condition, but as the saying goes -- it is what it is.

Id probably ask for $500 and be willing to sit on it for a while though myself

Wow. Ask for about $500 or $600. Please don't take less than $350. ...................................................................................

I got this old Elite with the same paint that I really love. I wouldn't part with it for less than about $495...........................

Sorry for hijacking this thread. But, I'm so exited. Finally sold this Centurion Accordo today for $270. It only took about four months. Snagged a buyer on Craigslist. Woo - hoo !!!
