86 Ross Mount St Helens
Non drive side pic from the owner. From the online photos I've seen, it looks like a complete Ross Mt St Helens circa 1986. This particular model never got a whiff of the upper end of the Ross ATB lineup, but still delivered triple butted Ishiwata EX, a Sugino VP triple crank, Beartrap Pedals of some ilk, Araya 7x 26x1.75 rims w/ Sealed Bearing Hubs, a still intact Portage Strap, & a Frankenstein-Green Dogbone Stem w/ Matching Bars. Looks like a 22"-23" frame, which is not-so-easy to find in my locale, & is ideal for my height. Destination?-Neighborhood bar bike. Please chime in w/ thoughts on value.

Prices on these can be volatile. They usually just simmer but occasionally erupt!

It should be a 1986, based on the graphics. Non-drive side photo, probably to hide the claw mount Shimano Light Action rear derailleur and Z-series front derailleur. However, you can't hide the nutted rear hub. While the main triangle is CrMo, the stays and forks are hi-tensile. The pedals and axle nut are rusted, so there may be a fair amount of drivetrain rust and questionable bearing races. Without a good drivetrain photo, I can't judge the mechanical condition enough to provide an appraisal.

They sold a ton of those around here but these days they're all but completely gone. I don't think I've run across one in years.
The Mt St Helens and their Diamond Cruisers were pretty popular then.
