Help figure the name out?
Found this local to me and am trying to figure out what it says on the down tube.
I've messaged the seller for more pics, brand, and other info but there may be a language barrier.
We shall see.
Value in this? Worth a $40 price?
Anyway, here is the only pic of the bike.

I tried to enhance it.....

its only one up from a base sort of model
for resale you would have to calculate what you would need to put into it in terms of consumables to get it fully roadworthy...
...and then there is the labour...
one's time, energy and purse are of very finite dimension; wise to select one's projects carefully...

I would consider that to be a beer runner, or a campus cruiser at best. Not worth the effort to flip, maybe not worth the effort to carry a lock. If I owned it I would hope it be stolen.

Even though it's a non-drive side photo, you can tell that the rear derailleur is not Shimano 600 EX (Arabesque), as it does not have the the split inner cage plate to facilitate chain removal.

Lightweight and Ultra Lightweight are relative terms. And they have changed definition over time. I remember when running shoes bragged about being "only" 12 oz. for a men's size 10 and now many are considered tanks if they get anywhere close to 12 oz.
I don't think the bikes deserves to be made fun of. If built by Panasonic, it will be a decent albeit relatively heavy bike. Is it worth flipping? Only in a market where similar bikes fetch a decent price. I've no clue as to the market in Henderson, Nevada, but where I live, I'm thinking you'd be lucky to get more than $120.00 for it.

Thanks for the replies. I passed on the deal. At $40, It would cost me half as much in gas, at today's price, to pick it up.
It was just a whim to have something to tinker with.
Something else will come along....
