Evaluation request 1980(?) Mondia Special 531SL

This one purchased from a local BF member.
All Campy NR, Cinelli bars/stem. Tiny dent top tube NDS. Paint, chrome, decals in good shape if not perfect. Lovely striping, light lug lining.

I think more burnt orange than red

531SL fork

Decal good on seat tube

Pat ‘83 rd

Nice bottle cage

NDS good, worst being 'd' on seattube.

needs a quick clean. Running Schwalbe 30mm tubies

The dent

That's beautiful. I would think $800-900.

Im not sure how much the bike would sell but I have a few of the frames sell on between $300-$400 but yours look much nicer. I was told
Mondia is/was Italian brand and quiet rare but I can’t find any of their catalogs.

Beautiful bike. Love the color and the condition is excellent. I'm a sucker for chrome and lining so it got my attention for sure. The valuation of $800 to $900 is more than I would pay, but that's just me. It is a popular size and not a brand that is seen for sale that often. The components looks great also.

Awesome bike. Great color. Excellent pinstriping. Probably one of the lightest steel frames you'll ever ride (531SL). But there's a cosmetic ding in the top tube. If it were a 56 or 57cm with nice clinchers, I'd still pay $700.

This is a different bike than mine. I have an earlier version with more chrome , Nervex lugs , and the typical fade paint scheme . They are nice bikes and I would think at least 600-700 in this market. Probably a bit more without that tiny ding which wouldn’t bother me much but does affect the value.
