Miyata Gravel/Commuter Triple Cross

Owner said: "1x8 speeds, 38t front chainring and 34t biggest rear cog. Shimano Deore LX rear derailleur and Shimano Exage cantilever brakes. Cassette and chain are brand new." It is from 90s, and asking $650 CAD. Not sure about the size as I messaged the owner, I do think it is overpriced. What do you think is the value for this bike?

In the Southern California market, between $200-$300 if it's ready to ride. Closer to $200 (maybe less now) as the covid bike boom is fading.

Thanks, it was too small and too expensive unfortunately. I told the owner and this is the response I get:

Let's see how long it takes for the bike to get sold lol.

Vintage hybrids tend to go for even less than vintage MTBs so they are often a good deal. This bike is not.

To be honest I hate the build what they did to this is just yuck, they spent a bunch of money to make really nice cross bike into into strait bar clunker city bike. Hard pass for me I would say as presented only $150-200 and I would pass at that price.
