@nlerner...
I, of all people, do not think that auction asking value is equal to actual paid value. But I have learned, over the years, that sometimes item values are greater than what I would have expected. And, judging from the BF members who actually tried to offer question related opinions, they don't think the price asked is "reasonable". Understand?

I can find almost anything on ebay at sky high asking prices. Sold a McDonalds plaque earlier this year for $300. At the time, the only other one for sale was $5,000. Actual sold history was $200 to $300. The ridiculous priced one never sold, but I was thankful as it made mine look like a smoking hot BARGAIN!
I love sellers who ask crazy prices!
One seller will part out a crankset! Chain ring bolts auction one, dust caps auction two, chainrings auctions three and four, crank arms auctions five and six. Typically buyers could pay his asking price on just one of those items and get a complete crankset. But those that just search for crankset dust caps and chain ring bolts can get sucked into his nonsense. Most of his stuff does not sell. But he is very patient. And when an item does sell, he's rewarded for this nonsense.
Here's a silly high price, NR RD used, $455. Average actual sold history is around $60....
