1970's Peugeot EU 8
Just wondering if anyone has any Idea on what this might be worth.
1971-1974 EU 8
It's original as far as I know except the
-rear rim has been replaced- rear tail light cover and bulb are broken
-pump is missing

That bike will undoubtedly be a nice rider for someone. It seems to be in good condition, The rubber components on the brake levers even seem to be okay. The suspect components are the front and rear derailers, which feature Delrin (plastic) as part of the assemblies. Those are notorious for cracking and failing. They are generally replaced with other components when they do, or in advance of deterioration.
It is nice that it has fenders and a rear rack, head lamp, etc. Those add to the idea of it being a good rider, especially an urban rider for short commutes, grocery-getting, etc. It isn't a lightweight by any means (31 lbs.) but that might not be important to the future owner. Depends on what they want it for.
The textured steel rims aren't the best for wet weather stopping and the cottered crank may present an issue regarding maintenance, i.e, it might require service at a bike shop. The future owner might choose to swap rims with alloy and/or invest in Kool Stop pads, etc. in order to help increase stopping effectiveness.
I like the green and think the overall bike is attractive, but when I see these listed, they tend to be around the $150.00 mark. Seems like they should be worth more. This frame is on the smaller side, which makes it perfect for shorter riders.

spots to check for markings:
gear mechs
wheel rims

I consider that front mech beyond replace by date.

I will be picking up the exact same bike (one tail light lens is broken as is one rear wheel spoke), in very nice condition, for $80.00 CND. The one I am buying has a Wrights saddle, not the original AGDA...

A few years ago a local bike shop had one of these listed on ebay for about a year. Pretty much NOS. Listed for $1100 or best offer. Sold for $900 plus shipping to buyer who was in Japan.
I think $300 for a nice condition UE 8 with lighting, racks, and fenders would be a reasonable ask.
