Campagnolo Victory Crono set of wheels, Mavic hubs evaluation
I have this set of wheels which I will never use and want to sell it.
The rims are Campagnolo Victory Crono tubular with glued Swallow Montello tires.
The rims and tires are well used, I have no idea if the tires are still safe to use. They keep air.
The hubs are Mavic 500/501? Not sure, still need to research.
Original hubs.
The wheels are spinning pretty true.
The question is if these wheels are still used and wanted by people, or should I take the hubs and sell them only?
If I should sell the complete wheels, any idea of the value?
If only hubs have value, I am sure will find a value for them.
Thank you.

If 32h, I would think the hubset would be worth more than the wheels ... unless you can find that one right buyer in a local, big market sale.

Nice wheels: Campagnolo Victory is a great tubular rim, as are the Mavic hubs. I have a few sets. But then I'm one of the last 20 cyclists on the planet who ride on vintage tubular wheels.
The tires have less than zero value, as they would need to be reglued to the rims. As in every couple of years. Even if you could do this, the glue holding the base tape to the inside of the tire is probably also dried up, so completely unsafe. So these wheels in current state are an outright hazard to anyone on any length of ride.
Probably your best bet for resale is to clip the spokes and resell the hubs on Fleabay or the like. Before you do this, 1.) remove the freewheel, and 2.) detension the spokes. Not removing the freewheel first will make it next to impossible without the spokes, rendering the rear hub worthless.

Also, looking on Velobase, the hubs might be 500 RD?
