Specialized Rockhopper Comp - what year is it? WHat's it worth?
HI there forum-ers, see attached image. I have a Specialized Rockhopper I'm working on. It's in good condition, at least it will be when I'm done :=)
I'm trying to put a value on it, but, I can't find a serial number to year cross reference. I'll call the Specialized help line Monday, but I'm wondering if any of you can venture a guess at it's model year? And, value. Thanks in advance.

Semi worthless is harsh, but probably correct at $150 with the scuffs and scratches and pillow seat. I have a 1995 Rockhopper that I paid $50 for in much better condition. With some modifications and different tires, it's my favorite multi-purpose bike for mixed rides on pavement and gravel. I think the Rockhoppers are solid bikes and yours is worth fixing as an everyday rider.

The issues that hold price down on bikes like this are the cheaper disk brakes and suspension fork which don't age well and can cost more than the bike is worth to fix or replace.

Looks like a 2006 to 2008. Good rider but not especially valuable. Not worth putting any real money into. Find a steel rockhopper
