Pre-Trek Bontrager
Hello all I'm new to the Bike Forums This is my first post here and cannot post pics yet; that being said, I'm fairly certain that what I have is a pre-Trek Bontrager; I acquired it in 1993. It has the welded seat stay; White rims; Panaracers, Easton Hyperlite , Salsa, Deore, Rock Shox fork ....Any guidance as to a realistic value would be appreciated Thanks

Road or mountain? Condition effects everything. I've looked at them on ebay and in excellent condition with few scratches they get a pretty good price, roads seem to be fairly rare which is understandable since he was better known for mountain bikes in our area, didn't even know he did road till I saw one on ebay.

Reads like a very nice MTB pretty much top end for when it was built. A couple of things that can greatly effect value are is the early Rock Shock in good working order most this age aren't and can be costly difficult to replace or repair and do the shifters still work good also somewhat costly to replace? These can make big difference in value of a couple hundred dollars on this vintage of nicer MTB.

I would say $350-400 as is the dropouts look really bad, I would suggest touching up the paint with some nail polish and taking some new nice pics with the wheels mounted
