Schwinn Stingray Serial Number Oddity?

Schwinn Stingray Serial Number Oddity?
Came across a stingray frame for sale advertised as a 1974, what I am confused about is the serial number on the head tube starts with GAK. Never seen one start with three letters, usually always two letters. Been searching but unable to find any info? The AK would make it a Jan 74 I believe, but not sure about the G.

The serial number is not for a Chicago Schwinn. The serial number is for a series of reproductions that were made several years after the Schwinn bankruptcy in 1993.
I do not know the year of the reproductions, but possible 2007.
