Gios Super ReCord
Please comment on this rideable but somewhat rough finish Gios SR. It has a dent on the top tube and a few surface rust spots . I drove 400 miles round trip to pick it up for $350. It rides really nice but the finish is sad. I’ll ride it for a while and see if I’ll sink more $$ into it. Suggestions and comments are welcome.

...if you decide to strip and repaint it, it's not a big deal to fill that dent with auto body putty, after you strip the old paint. But any project bike you repaint will immediately put you underwater in ROI, if that's important to you. You can still get those decals, I think. Probably worth doing if it your correct size, and all the Dura Ace stuff still works.

I have a Gios of similar era, I suggest repaint, there was much hidden corrosion under the paint.
match the color first, that Blue is not easy to replicate.
might look at the latest Maserati blue as a starting point.

Looks like a great deal to me! As long as it fits, put a little touch-up paint on it, nicer tires, and just ride it!
