Vintage Mercier Road bike. Thoughts?
Hi All, I'm in the market for my FIRST adult bike. Looking for a commuter bike to travel around the city. I saw this bike pop up on Facebook Marketplace and I'm strongly considering making an offer.
I can't post URLs/Images yet so I've added this to show the bike. imgur.com/fCzsYrt At $250 Canadian I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are? |

I don't have anything to offer as to if the price is fair, but the mismatched wheels and tires for me are a red flag that maybe this was put together to flip so mechanical needs may not have been looked at well either.

The description does mention that there is new tires and new brake pads. I should have posted that here.
