Mid 80's, near perfect, Lotus Legend value?

My brother has a near mint condition Lotus Legend with Columbus tubing(I think SL). It is, for the most part, completely stock, although he switched out the FD and RD(Shimano 600) for Dura Ace, but he still has all the original parts as well. Color is Gold. It has always been stored inside the house and probably has no more than 200-300 miles total on it, truly near perfect. Curious to see if anyone has any ideas as to the value. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Any idea of the year? Often the year of production can be determined by the serial number. Is it possible to post pics?

I would like to see some pics of this. It would help in estimating value also.

Ask and ye shall receive! Keep in mind, this was purchased in 1986, hence the pink bar tape and classic Avocet cyclometer!

Nice condition but the finish on the under side of the seat lug leaves a bit to be desired. I'm a little surprised by that.

I love the colors of the Lotus marque.

Altogether a nice bike. I'd like to own such a bike.

$350 is probably a stretch, but looks like a really nice Lotus. So that is my guess.

Yeah, that looks pretty sloppy. Still a really nice bike though, I think 300 is probably pretty reasonable.

I'd convert the derailleurs back to original and throw neutral black bar tape on it.

$250 w/ original parts and black tape. Maybe more w/ a Columbus frame and frok.
Then I'd sell the Dura Ace parts. $10 for the FD, $40 for the RD and $40 for the DT shifters.

$50 fo the faux Zebra skin carpet, $75 if you sell it on a street corner in the 'hood.

Not faux Zebra skin, that was straight from Africa and taken by my brother, so it might be worth a couple dollars more I think.

That is one beautiful bike. I just rebuilt my lotus, modernizing the whole thing. There's a thread in the road forum if you'd like to see it. But I'd spend 300 on that if it was offered to me. That's really nice.
