New to this group...size question

I am looking at a Mixte bike on eBay but for those that have bought bikes online w/out actually test riding them how do you guess if the frame size will be just right. The bike seems to be a good deal if I can convince the seller to ship to Canada and overall from the pictures looks to be in good condition but I dont want to buy a big that is either too small fro me or too large.

I'd be converting it with a Xtracycle too and I'm 5'8 and the seller states the frame meaures
21" from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post.

TIA

21" frame sounds about right for a 5' 8" rider. Besides, you'll have less issues with standover clearance since it's a mixte.

I checked out the Xtracycle web site - looks like a really practical add-on for utility bikes! Good luck with the mixte, and let us know how it works out. Specifically, pictures of the final product - we gotta see pictures!
