1986 Raleigh technium 440 on CL

Hello all, newbie here with a price question. Found a 1986 Raleigh Technium 440 road bike that looks to be in very good shape with new tires and tune up. Does $165 sound reasonable? Looking to buy my first road bike. Thanks for any help.

If it really is ready to ride with no consumables (tape, tires, etc) that need replacing anytime soon, and it fits you, then it sounds like a reasonable deal.

From the picture it looks to be in very good shape including the tape. The frame size should be right too. Thanks for your input!

If it was here and needed nothing, I'd buy it. I'd like to eventually get a Technium Pro and STI it.

Based on that ad, I think the price is reasonable. I would go look at it, make sure it is ready to ride and has no serious frame flaws (dents). If it rides and looks good, I would buy it.

This assumes you are an end user.

Fit is critical of course.

Make certain the seat post and stem can move. If either are stuck, it's a huge pain.
