New Aquisition, Raleigh Technium, unknown model
So I just picked up this hybrid off of craigslist. I am more than satisfied that this will turn out to be a good winter beater for me but I was hoping to find out a little info on it before I beat on it too much. I have almost no info on it at the moment. Here are the pics, let me know if there is any other information that would be helpful in identifying it.

www.vintage-trek.com ... should do it. Really breaks-down part by part allowing for ID of year. Very often used by members here, very precise. I'm pretty sure what year it is. I'll simply state that it's 88 to early '90s
Hey, would you believe me if I told you ? exactly ? You'd wish to check anyway.
You can also poke-around for blogs an' such by guessing at the year. Some of the techniums were road bikes. ALSO investigate "Mombat", just like that. I'll forgo the URL.
The place shows all things MB.

I agree they look like 26" wheels. I'd call it an ATB though not a full fledge mountain bike. the raised handlebars, bolt on rear wheel and double chainwheels make it appear to be a base model.
hey why did someone use P clips to mount the rack instead of the brazeons?

That is a raleigh technium Ovation. mid- range bike only manufactured in '89. Discontinued
because so few were ordered . Only an few were made. They are rare but not especially
valuable. I have the exact same one & frame size. It is the only MB that year with a straight
fork. the rest had curved forks. I got mine for $30 at a flea market. 26" whls.
