1985 Trek 660 frame set?
22.5 ", 57cm. Reynolds 531cs. It has the original Stronglight A-9 head set. No rust, no dents. Some paint nicks. Head badge is not pretty. It does not have the original seat post binder bolt.
A 63cm 1986 760 pro went for $135 recently on ebay but it had rusty cable guides and other issues, like being "BIG". A 56cm 1985 600 with no head set went for $330 in about the same paint condition as this one.
I know a steel framed Trek in good shape is desirable but not sure about this year/ model. Opinions?

Trek Steel always draws a crowd on ebay or CL. Reynolds 531 steel frame always draws a crowd on ebay or CL. A Trek frame with Reynolds 531 draws a crowd to the second power.
IMHO the frame is not worth more than $200 which explains why I don't own one because they all sell for more than I'm willing to pay. I think $300 is too much, but that's what it will probably bring, maybe more.

I sold my 85 670 complete bike ( all stock components) for $250 a few years back.
I think you can do better.

Hard to say really, I have a 660 languishing on craigslist right now in the same size but a bit newer with no interest so far at 365 for a complete bike! Might just not be a good time to sell. I would hate to have to part mine on ebay, but at this rate that might just happen. Looks like a really nice frame set. I would probably go ebay rather than craigslist for that.

Too much. I'd have a very hard time paying more than $75 or so for a 531 frameset, since one would need at least $200 more to build it up, and $275 gets a lot of bike. It's not like 531 is 753, SL or SLX... it is fairly common.

depends on your local market as well, I recently sold a very unremarkable Motobecane Mirage frame set for 100.00 pretty easily, so it is hit or miss sometimes. I am in the SF Bay Area though so prices tend to be much higher here anyway. YMMV
