1987 Trek Cirrus? 520
I am wondering if I should hold on to this bike or not. It is a perfect Trek Cirrus model ( 531 Tubes ) I paid a fair amount for it, But if I was to sell it what would I be looking at asking?

Need pictures of your bike, rather than the brochure. Also, what size is your bike? Large frames tend to sell at a discount, extra small frames sell at a premium.
The 520 is a desirable bike, with good value.

This one is my size. The reason I am asking is because I am trying to figure out what bike to keep. This one or my Miyata 610. The Miyata is a huge project, And this one will be done in a couple of hours.
I bought it just like this missing one side of the crank. Cool thing is that I picked up a set of Sugino tripples for 5.00 close by. I also have a new set of tires and some nice pedals and cages waiting on a bike.

The 610 and 520 are very similar bikes. The Trek will bring more because it is a Trek and it has Reynolds 531 tubes (even though the triple butted tubing in the Miyata is lighter). That said, if the Trek is ready to ride, it might make sense to keep it instead of starting a project with the Miyata

+1 Trek with 531 is very marketable around here. Trek came with 27 inch wheels. What size are on the Miyata?
Trek paint is really durable. If the Miyata is in good shape (paint wise) and has 700c wheels, then I would keep the Miyata. If they both have 27 inch wheels, I would probably keep the Trek. But if you are looking to maximize coin, I would sell the Trek. Around here, in season, the Trek would bring $350 to $400, size is a bit of a negative price wise (large bikes are harder to sell, and bring less).

The paint is perfect, it looks to have seen very little use. The wheels are 27s though.
They both seem to be worth the same amount complete. I think I will keep the Trek and sell the Miyata as a frame set or enter Velo Cheapo with it.
