Well, I think R2.8 is pretty much what it is. I'm not sure there are any other designations.

Regardless of what the frame weighs, if it's all
Dura Ace, and it's reasonably priced, you better
grab it.

Look it over good. Check the BB area, rear drop
outs, and seat tube area for signs of stress.

Head badge and top tube cable routing method indicate mid 90's.
Good chance it's a '95 R2000- their top of the line road bike at the time.
My guess is that those are replacement wheels, however.
Value is hard- depends on your market and whether there is snow on the ground right now. All of the frames within type (R, C, T, etc.) were the same, so the real value differential is in the components. Could go as low as $300 or as high as $500, depending on market and condition and whether the seller knows what they have.

1996 Cannondale R2000. I'd say $400.00 is about right.

Hope you land that bike. Those Cannondale 2.8s are still sought after. They're not the most comfortable ride on your butt, however when it comes to transferring power to the ground, they're great. The carbon fibre forks were good and soften the shock transfer to the bars. I have the headshock version and the carbon fiber fork version. Both very nice bikes. The headshock version is my #1 rain/bad weather bike. I've upgraded it to 9 speed, triple 105 STIs.

I have a friend that found an intact 2.8 in the landfill. My size. Also his. Had a 105 STI group.
I certainly didn't know it was higher end. Thanks for the update. I may make him an offer.
And to think, I tuned it up, added tires, adjusted it, for $38.
