1985 PGN10 English, Swiss, or French?
I have a chance to buy a 1985 PGN10. It is made in France, I believe for the US market. Does anyone kn?ow when the PGN10s went to an English bottom bracket?
it is lugged, 501.
cyclespeugeot.com did not specify what the 85's came with, only the 86's.

I had a PGN10 and to the best of my knowledge it was a 1985 and I know it was English threaded. It had no seat post binder bolt in the frame, like the one you see in the '85 catalog. It was on the top of the seat post. https://cyclespeugeot.com/images/1985...SN10_PGN10.jpg
Here's a pic of the one I had.
Most likely someone with way more details can add to that.

Its more than likely BSA but the only way to be 100% postive is to look for markings. If the fixed cup has a gold tint or a ring around the circumference its Swiss.
I can tell you that its NOT French.

Also pretty sure that by 1985 the threading was British.

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it a lot.
I posted here while my question to the seller was pending. I wanted to hedge my bets. He thought he had a lugless frame but didn't so I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to communicate effectively with him about bike tech.
It did in fact have the Swiss ring around the circumference. I guess they were in the midst of a changeover which was not complete until '86, meaning SOME bikes from '85 had English thread. I took a pass.
In case anyone wants it, the seller was "Mike42788". It's a 60cm black pgn10. The auction ended yesterday but the seller didn't pay up so I got a second chance. It looked to be in nice shape.
