1967 Schwinn Fastback 5spd

https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/bik/1548517416.html

This just popped up on the local CL. I've got no idea how these value out except that I know that there is some collector/investor/speculator action on these lately. A co-worker is interested in finding one along the lines of this one. And I'm limited with cut/paste/image-capture with the phone so bear with me.

Ad states it is a 1967 Schwinn Fastback, 5 speed, original except for some cables, original tires (one worn out?), I think original owner, bike sitting for last several decades. Asking price is $525, which sounds like a hint of the seller looking for an even $500. Not sure if this one was posted on CL before, might have been.

The local CL bike market is kind of dead except for some active items or budget priced items.

I'm just looking to get a better feel for the market on the old Stingray Schwinns, and to help the co-worker decide if this one is priced about right or not.

Thanks.

I don't know myself, but I will be stopping by my LBS on Thursday and one of the owners collects those old Schwinns. I'll try to remember to ask him, though I suppose you may be wanting an answer before that.

Edit: Isn't this about the same bike?

Could be the same, but the ebay one has a headlight, possibly different colored seat and grips, and a better price. That is a good auction to use as a bargaining chip though. Thanks, I'll pass along the info.
