Vintage Bianchi question

I'm looking for a vintage Bianchi and came across this one.

I love the chrome, what do you guys think it will sell for?

Already got one bid on for $150...

this frame looks mis-measured (looks more like a 52 than a 54) and there is a lot of oxidation (read: rust) inside the tubes.

hard to tell how this will end up, but it is already up there as far as fair market value is concerned...

I have to agree with "E", that frame needs alot of work. it does not look like something you can just start building without considering alot of frame restoration and maybe a complete repaint (300 to 500) and perhaps some recrhoming. the price does seem high with the condition and 6 days left.

while not exactly 'vintage' there is a beautiful SBX Bianchi in a different thread. beautiful nouvo celeste color chrome fork and stays. it is a '92 though so maybe too new for you.

+10 Rust bucket that needs a repaint. I will pass. Will someone over bid for it? Sure, at $150, they already have.

jeremyb...I like it!

Would be fun to fix up! Relatively cheap and a piece of the past...you just can't get that at the store! I highly suggest you get you one...it will drive you mentally insane and consume you...if you go for that kind of thing.

Does anyone know why Bianchi's sometimes have red paint on the forks and sometimes blue at the top in the chrome?

Later this year my Bianchi is going to get repainted and restored to the best of my ability.

Here she is: https://www.flickr.com/photos/umpire5...7622146368588/

and her sisters: (new decals and touch-up for the celeste one below too! Will be a fun year!)

I wish I had enough money to buy up all those ol' gals.

I don't know why. The history I guess...and the fact that I think everyone ought to own atleast 20 old Bianchi's.

jeremyb, that frame could be cleaned and "touched-up" by mixing your paint to match...until you decided to completely restore...if you did. Having it sit around looking old isn't so bad! decals $45 plus shipping
