Is this a Cinelli?
Hi all,
I bought this frame recently because I wanted the saddle that came with it and the owner wouldn't sell separately - it cost NZ$130. It was advertised as columbus steel but when I got it home I realised there was a Cinelli logo on the rear brake arch. There are no other markers on teh bike apart from the dropouts.
Despite a lot of research on the internet I can't work out whether the frame is a real Cinelli and if it is I definitely can't work out the year. Any help determining the make of this frame and the year it was built in would be really appreciated as well as a rough guide to how much it's worth.
The front and rear dropouts are stamped with ____ Campagnola (I can't make out the first word - it's something like CREN???)
The bottom bracket is stamped with the following: N0007
The top tube is relatively short compared with the down tube - top tube is: 55cm and the down tube is: 60cm. Any ideas on why this is?
I bought this frame in New Zealand.
I'd be happy to provide any other details if it would help to identify it.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Nice looking frame, but no, it doesn't look like a Cinelli. The lugs, seatstay attachments, and bottom bracket shell are wrong. But I don't know who made it, either - it could be a small builder from just about anywhere, and the serial number makes it sound like a low volume shop.
Cinelli did make the brake bridge, though - they're fairly common.

Thanks guys,
As I think I said I'm wanting to sell it on as the frame's too small for me. Any idea what I should aim to get - about $100 or more do you think? I'd really like to know who made this.... Thanks for the advice so far. Oh and yeah I think it is Brev Campagnola - that would make sense.

It seems like a custom build, given the combo of the cable guides routed below the BB but long Campag 1010 dropouts, and at least the rear brake is for recessed Allen bolt brakes...normally all those features go together except the long 1010 dropouts, so it's somebody who had them on hand and used 'em. Also looks like good craftsmanship. What threading in the BB, English or Italian? Check the inside base of the steering column (fork) for 5 low ridges, the best clue for a Columbus tubeset. Oh, and also a 27.2 seatpost.
