Ralieh Racing USA Grand Prix, Bone Stock, Like New

Last year I bought a bone stock and nearly mint Raleigh Racing USA Grand Prix. (Vintage 1984?) I ride Mountain Bikes and Thought I would get into Road Bikes but I didn't. I believe the bike has original brakes, tires, cables and everything is very clean and like new condition. I have had to make no adjustments to anything and everything works smoothly. I am curious about the value of the bike and I'm interested in selling. I am not looking to get rich but would like to try to get a fare price for the bike.
Please let me know if you can help with a value and if you might be interested in the bike. I live in South Central Pennsylvania.

Thanks,
John

Pictures or it does not exist :) Are the Shifters on the down tube or on the stem? 502 or 555 tubing?

I believe the shifters are on the down tube. Also, the frame has a sticker labeling it a 555SL. I friend thought the SL meant Super Lite. That makes sense in that the bike is very lite. I took picture today with my daughters camera and I'm still trying to figure out how to load them to this sight. I might have better luck with email.

OK, then it is an 84+ . If all original and in excellent condition $300 will not be a silly number. These (most of the Raleigh USA models) were built with a variety of components, mostly Raleigh pantographed, since the catalog specifications were extremely vague (e.g. "aluminum crankset 52/42".) Raleigh 555 SL is probably Tange #2 based on weight, but this has not been verified and Huffy (the Raleigh USA distributor) was extremely tight lipped about those Raleigh-badged frames.

Would be worth a lot less than above around here, anywhere from $125 to $175 depending on condition. Sold a similar Raleigh in ready to go shape last month for $150. I would need to see pictures to estimate. May be all original and perfect, but the consumable parts: bearings, grease, cables, tires and tubes, are 25 years old. As a minimum, it would need bottom bracket and hubs rebuilt, bearings replaced, and new cables.
